I was so pleasantly surprised by the quality of this product when it arrived! These dishes are beautifully molded and the quality of the plastic far exceeds that of any toy dish set I have ever seen. All of the pieces are thick, solid and durable. I can’t imagine this plastic ever cracking or shattering. I also love the bright, rich colors, and I know this set will last for years. I couldn’t be happier!

This is a great set that is definitely worth the money. My 17 month old son has so much fun playing with it. Initially, I wanted to get him a metal cookware set, but after seeing the tea set in a store and finding this online, I ordered it and was very pleased when it arrived in the mail. I was trying to limit the amount of plastic toys in our house, but I feel good about this set knowing that it is recycled and I like the fact that it is made in the US.

    Excellent Toy

I bought this set for my two-year old daughter for Christmas. She absolutely loves it! She will spend hours making us tea, feeding us soup, etc. It is an awesome toy for children who love to play kitchen. It has also been banged around, drop on our wood floor and carried off by our dogs and there isn’t a scratch on any piece. I would defintely buy more toys from the Green Toy Set.

    Great use of old plastic!

We really liked that this toy was made from recycled ‘stuff’ and the items seem VERY sturdy. We’ve had them for a month now and the kids have played with them every day so far. Also like that they are gender neutral colors! Good size too. No cons about them here.

    BEST DISH SET EVER!
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This product is GREAT! Santa brought my 19 month old niece a play kitchen for Christmas, and Auntie (me) gave her a set of pots and pans and also this set of dishes. I had given my niece the matching tea set earlier in the year and thought it would be great for her to have a matching set of dishes.

She loves to cook the wooden foods in her kitchen and then plate it for her friends. It helps her learn how to set the table and what utensils are for. The best thing about this set is that it’s food safe. Sometimes, when Mommy’s not looking, I will give her a piece a food or pour some water (or real tea!) in the cups and since the products are certified food safe, I know it’s safe. And, it’s a green product which is great because there are so many useless pieces of plastic for kids, and this product is made out of recycled products.

Grace (2) loves this cooking set. I love that it is dishwasher safe, and comes from milk jugs. I have even served her lunch on them. The pieces hold up really well and work great with the “Wonderworld Eco friendly cooking center.” The pots can even hang on the two pegs provided. Unlike the wooden pots we have too, these work well with the plan toys breakfast set that we own. The fried egg fits beautifuly and I am hoping that it will create a desire to eat eggs. A mom can only hope =:-) We are already looking forward to more cooking adventures that lead to more diversified eating!

So glad I purchased this set

I really looked around for a nice little dish set for my two year old son. I am glad I decided on this one. It is so cute, sturdy, and my son loves it. It’s great for a boy or a girl. The plastic is really sturdy and I love that it is safe and eco-friendly. The silverware is safe and it’s so cute. I wash it in the sink and it washes up great. What’s best is my son enjoys it, and he plays with it all the time. Even though the price was a little higher, I figured because it is safe and sturdy it is worth it and will last a long time.

Great gender neutral pretend toy and even better service from Amazon
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
We purchased this set for our 3 & 4 year old daughters this Xmas. We love Green Toys as it is durable, eco friendly, and made in the USA. My girls tore through the box to get to the present, while I noticed the rubber band that held all the utensils together was a bit loose, it wasn’t until my daughters were playing and putting the plate setting on the table did we realize that it was missing a fork a couple of days after. By that time, my husband already tossed out the box and the recyling truck already picked up the trash. I didn’t think I could return it since the box was missing and the girls wouldn’t let me return it since they enjoyed playing and couldn’t part with it. I decided to call Amazon a few days later just to let them know about the packaging issue for their reference. Without any fuss or further questioning, Amazon offered either a 10% discount credit to my purchase for this item or they would send a replacement for free and I did not have to return the incomplete set back. This gives me a lot of confidence in purchasing from Amazon and bravo for having great customer service! We love the fact the colors are gender neutral and all the girls and boys who come to play dates since enjoyed playing with them.

I recently purchased the Green Toys Cookware and Dining Set for my daughters ages 4 and 2. They LOVE this set. I actually have this exact same set in my preschool classroom. The children love the set as well. They are very durable, realistic, and fun to use. They are made from recycled milk jugs. I highly recommend this product. Enjoy! :) We sure are! :)

    Great Dining Set; 4.5 Stars
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I love Green Toys. I love that they are made in the USA. I love that they’re made of recycled materials. I love that they are a popular enough brand to be an accessible non-China gift for the relatives who don’t like to shop online.

This dining set is very cool, for the most part. The blue stew pot is great. It fits my children’s stove perfectly and has enough depth for them to really pile in the ingredients, unlike some of their more shallow wooden pans. I love the orange frying pan, and the plates, bowls and spoons. They’re all perfectly sized, and are made of super-durable, thick HDPE. I have no question that they’ll withstand a lot of abuse. Our tea set, which we’ve owned for almost 3 years still looks new, and it’s been through a lot of rough play (my daughter even used the plates as shoes at one point and to my amazement they weren’t demolished).

The cups however, while certainly durable, are identical to our tea set. Which is okay I guess, and I’ll admit I knew this before adding it to my daughter’s wish list, but I really would have liked to have had a set of four drinking glasses for variety. Now we just have lots and lots of tea cups.

The spoons are the same as those in the tea set also, which is fine by me.

The forks I’m somewhat less pleased with. They have an odd five-tine design and are rounded. They actually remind me of a cross between a fork and a spork. They’re also a bit more flimsy than the spoons.

The knives are extremely narrow and the sizing looks odd with the other dinner utensils. But they are rigid enough to be used with the wooden velcro-attached cutting food my kids got for Christmas, so they do seem to be sturdy enough.

Ultimately, my aesthetic gripes and the flimsier consistency of the forks don’t mean a thing to the kids. They love the set and it’s just perfect for their kitchen play, thus the five stars.

    Granddaughter Christmas Gift
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I purchased this at the suggestion of my daughter. She had given it to my other granddaughter who lives locally. and has purchased other Green items for her son. My observation is that the cookware set is very sturdy to hold up to all a young child can do to it. And, it is functional for actually serving food. What a great use of recycled materials – plastic milk cartons, I believe. The colors are muted (as shown in the picture) unlike much of the childrens cookware which is brightly colored and decorated. In my limited observation, I see no problems with the set.

I bought this set for my 21 month old for Christmas and it is awesome-great quality. Pottery Barn Kids sells the same set for much more money and was happy to find it here. I looked at less expensive sets, but this is so durable and know will hold up over the years. Plus, it’s great to know it’s ‘Green’ and I’m helping the environment.

This adorable, durable set is so much fun for my little gal. The first blatant pretend play she has ever done was to scoop “something” from the bowl with a spoon and “feed” it to me :) She plays with these every day & I’m sure will enjoy them for a long time to come. All recycled plastic, packaging, and made in the USA to boot – I wish all of her toys were this ethical.

This is really nice stuff. The quality is great, the colors are nice and it is very durable too. The fact that it’s made of recycled milk bottles give you an extra good feeling when buying this. You feel good, and you can start showing your kids that you care for their future….it might cost a little bit more then the standard stuff, but this quality is much better then the standard stuff out there. I wish there were a lot more toy choices from recycled materials. I would recommend this to everybody, parents of young children (ours are 2 & 3 years old), grandparents, uncle & aunts who want some toys in their house etc. We have a nice wooden kitchen with the wooden fruits, breads and veggies to make this a complete kitchen set. Two tumbs up!!!

I got this for my daughter when she was 14 months old. She plays with the pieces often in her play kitchen. She likes the teacups, pot and pan the most. The pieces are durable, have loops on the pan and pot to hang, which is handy for her kitchen and don’t damage our wood floors when thrown or dropped. :)

Just got this toy and already my son loves it…and I do too…it’s very durable, solid plastic and it’s made from recycled plastic, so it’s making something great out of the stuff we all recycle…instead of out of virgin resources, and it’s made in America (not China!) and finally, it comes in only cardboard packaging…all recyclable! I plan to buy more from Green Toys!

Fun toy that had two things a parent may want…
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
First off, the daughter loves playing with this set. Nice colors, the shapes are clean of the cheap plastic fringe that the molds of other sets can leave behind, and the construction is of unbelievable quality…thick, light pebbled texture for grip, and a good variety of shapes and implements. The frying pan is fun to flip wood food items in like Emiril, and the Dutch oven looks like Le Crueset! Second, as a common sense environmentalist, recycling doesn’t work unless there’s demand for the stuff made out of recycled goods…so, we gotta put our money where our mouths are. These toys make perfect sense, not only does it put some demand (the $$ reward for communities/business doing the collecting) on a substantial waste stream in the US but it also employs Americans who’s kids may be going to school some day with my kid! Our daughter will be getting the sandbox set, the recycling truck and the dump truck for her 2nd birthday…gotta love a business model like this! Way to go Green Toys!

    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This cookware/dinnerware set is by far the best that I’ve found on the market. Since I also purchased the tea set, I do wish that the cups in this set were a little different than the ones sold with the tea set. Now we have 8 cups exactly the same.
